Sports Framing
Over the years we have framed all sorts of items, but a recurring theme has been sports-related material. Not only photographs, prints and original art but objects such as cricket bats, football boots, medals, international caps, tickets and programs, and the most common of these items - shirts.
Below is a selection of jobs we have done showing a variety of subjects and styles. Sports Shirts and Motorsports are detailed on separate pages.

A selection of tickets from F1 and Rugby events.

Two program covers with computer drawn lettering and decorative lines in purple and green with Wimbledon logos.

I wondered if this should have been in with the sports shirts? This is one of a series of winning jackets all done to the same design, with photograph and title box with details of the greyhound and race. Â

A collection of David Haye signed photos with union jack and name carved into the mount although it doesn't photograph to well as it's all in black.

A souvenir, program and ticket, for a first visit to Sutton Utd. The team colours have been incorporated into the background mount.Â

A baseball signed by Willie Mays with certificate of authenticity. To add a bit of style to this piece 4 mounts have been used, a double mount at the top to contain the design, a raised third holds the text box with cut out for the ball and finally a backing mount of the same colour onto which the ball is mounted.Â

Photos and tickets from the games. The tickets have been mounted using an encapsulation technique giving a floating effect but without using any adhesives on the tickets. Around the top mount is a collection of special 50p coins each depicting a different sport.

Medals of all sorts can be framed, we suggest including other relevant items like photographs, programs, tickets and passes or running numbers and press cuttings as in this case. We can also print title boxes giving name, place, date and times for example. Â

A pair of signed boots. The mounts are in the colours of Manchester United, his club at the time, a deep box frame was also required.Â

A souvenir of England's first match at the new Wembley, including tickets, programs and photographs. All built around an English flag design. The score was a late addition, hand carved in mountboard, to the bottom left hand corner, so late I decided to do it after I had taken this photo.

A collection recording a match in the Baseball World Series, featuring the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankies. Included are tickets, press cuttings, team badge and text box. The mount colours used are those of the Red Sox.

Match day orders of play from the ladies and mens finals with three balls used in a final. The two windows have been angled slightly to add a bit of variety, green and purple mounts have also been used as a Wimbledon reference. The lettering and lines were drawn using the new Gunnar pen tool.

A signed flag from the 18th hole of the British Open.

A glove signed by Nick Faldo. Â

A framed hole in one ball with score card, certificate and photo of the hole.

Here the ball from a hole in one is displayed, along with score card and picture of the hole.Â

Chelsea v Napoli. Souvenirs from a special day, with tickets, pass, photos, program and team sheet. The UEFA logo was carved from mountboard as was the lettering on the top mount.

We have framed several bats, often signed by an individual player or whole team, shown here without a second top mount.Â

A set of 12 miniature bats, one for each team in the world championship and signed by the teams.
