Shirt framing
Shirts are not limited to football shirts, these are the most common. Below are examples of jockey silks, rugby shirts, cricket jumpers, and a golf T-shirt.
The framing does not have to be confined to the shirt alone. Other items can be included within the design to tell more of a story. This can include photographs, badges, tickets, programs, other mementoes. Full-size shirt framing starts at £349

One of a number of jobs we have done to do with the Olympics. The GB team flag and logo were our additions.

A typical shirt framing job but with the addition of the English Rose built into the bottom corner of the mount. The rose was actually on one of the labels that came attached to the shirt, I thought it made a nice design feature.

A double top mount in red and white and MUFC carved into the top mount.

One of a number of shirts framed for Celtic Contractors Ltd.

Here the double top mount, in the team colours. has been made with cut outs for the sleeves.

A signed shirt without a top mount.

This was an unusual one, an old Australian scout shirt and neck a chief.

Ascot race winning silks with framing in the racing colours.

These are the racing silks of Lord Derby. In the corner is an original cigarette card of the 1924 Epsom Derby winning jockey Tommy Weston. Currently on display at Honeywood Museum Sutton.

Shirt Preparation

Our shirts are framed to conservation standards, a former is inserted into the shirt to hold it stable and give it shape, this is then stitched onto a conservation backing board for framing. All procedures are reversible and no tapes or adhesives are used on the shirt, as these can cause irreversible damage and reduce the value of the shirt.Names on Shirts

If you obtain a number of signatures on a shirt make a note of the names as soon as possible as usually they are illegible and it can become a challenge working out who signed.

This shows a shirt with former inserted and stitched to a backing board ready for fitting in a frame

Here you can see the former inside the shirt.
