The Eagle Gallery has over 15 years of professional framing experience and has won 7 major framing awards for its design, creativity and workmanship. This is more framing awards than any other framer in the country.
These are the same skills used every day when dealing with a clients work, whether it is a simple photograph, original work or sports memorabilia collection.
Our framers can help and advise on the best choice of style, colours and proportions to compliment the piece being framed.
We will undertake all types framing but over the years have specialised in sports framing. From photographs, prints and originals to shirts, bats, balls, boots and collection pieces.
All our work follows Fine Art Trade Guild Standards, normally working to conservation level 4, we also work to the highest quality, museum level 5 for the ultimate in preservation. We only use conservation and museum quality mountboard.
We enjoy our work and want to make the most of your framing, you can be sure of a friendly, relaxed welcome where we will be happy to discuss the various options that are available.

More framing examples can be seen in the Picture Gallery

                                            LEATHER DRAGONS

This design, cut from leather is over 2.2m, 7 feet, long. It has been mounted using many individual stitches to secure it to the mounting board. A spacer in the frames rebate has been used to keep the glass from touching the artwork.

        PAPER DRAGON

A Chinese dragon cut from very delicate rice paper, float mounted onto a raised panel.

                     PHOTOGRAPHS

You don't have to use a single plain mount, with the right colours and style the mount can be enhanced to focus and keep attention on the image. Here two sets of double mounts have been used, a warm cream on top and light blue below. The top mounts also have a pink core giving a further subtle hint of colour.

    PHOTO  COLLECTIONS

These mounts are individually designed and cut with any variety of rectangular, square, circular and oval windows.

       BARRY MANILOW

A souvenir from Las Vegas. The two photographs came in a presentation folder, so we incorporated this into the design, rather than just framing the two photographs in a plain mount.

            GARY HODGES  "IN DREAMS"

Black and white images can be among the hardest to frame. The simplest way is with a white mount and black frame but generally we don't do things that way. Any colour will be distracting so you have to be very careful. A mid grey top mount and warm, red grey bottom mount has been used to give a relaxed feel, a charcoal ash frame was then added to echo the colour and texture of the drawing.

                    LINE AND WASH

This is a traditional technique common in Victorian times to decorate a mount. Watercolour lines and a band of colour, the wash, are added to the mount close to the opening. They do not show up too well in the photograph as they are very fine and delicate as they should complement not distract from the picture.

                 ROYAL WARRANT

This needed special handling as it is made of parchment and not paper. The seals are wax in brass containers 30mm deep and have been sunk into the mount.

                         BADGE COLLECTION

This is a holiday souvenir from a trip to Disney World. We hand carved a map of Florida in mountboard and placed the badges around that.

                    CROSS STITCH

We undertake all types of fabric framing. They are laced or pinned, no glue or adhesive tape is used. Lacing is shown with the conservation foamcore which holds the fabric in place. The mount bevel has also been painted blue to match the artwork.

                        ARAB DAGGER

A silver dagger recessed into a blue velvet material and curved spacer next to the frame covered in the same cloth.

               MULTI APERTURE MOUNTS

Mounts with a variety of windows can be cut, this can be any combination of square, rectangular, circle and oval openings. This hand cut mount has 48 windows. 3 hand drawn gold lines help contain the design.

                    PAPYRUS

Float mounting, above left, is where the edges of the paper or papyrus can be seen. Personally I think this adds to the character of the artwork, especially when hand made paper has been used. The conventional mounting method is shown above. Although the shape of the piece can have some effect, the tree on the left is mounted between two sheets of glass.

                                     AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD

This is a Roadies collection from a rock tour. Included are photographs, drumsticks, AAA passes, tour dates and logo.
